Senior Microsoft Engineer - London

Reporting to the Technology Architect, we have a rare opportunity for you to join us here at PPHE as a Senior Microsoft Engineer. You'd work with/guide a contracted team of Technology Specialists the Microsoft environment runs smoothly, overseeing the support, design, installation, maintenance and connectivity of the Group's Microsoft Technology infrastructure.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with respective business units to identify needs and design short and long-term system roadmaps.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures.
  • Provide ownership of the Microsoft environment & related issues
  • Define and monitor tasks, projects and progress of contracted technology specialists.
  • Work closely with a team responsible for building, enhancing, integrating and supporting IT systems
  • Compile and present progress reports for project and/or dashboards on KPI's
  • Ensure systems and processes comply with IT controls and compliance plans.
  • Comfortable leading incident, problem and change management processes
  • Lead architecture design for the Microsoft environment.
  • Manage, monitor and develop/support in-house Microsoft server software (Windows, Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, etc)
  • Manage Active Directory and its services
  • Administration of user accounts
  • Work with all respective Technology counterparts to identify needs and address system resiliency.
  • Plan and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the Group
  • Make recommendations on new products, services, protocols and standards
  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers and server applications. Responsible for on-site and off-site datacenter servers, services, and backups.
  • Collaborate with IT security to ensure effectiveness of security
  • Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans for the Microsoft environment and services.
  • Manage Microsoft based or Microsoft integrated cloud solutions including O365
  • Manage Microsoft licenses
  • Evaluate new technologies for feasibility and implementation possibilities.
