Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEMH Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one or small group tutoring to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in English and Maths GCSE subjects
- Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback to help them improve their academic performance
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support the overall development of students
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with SEMH students
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEMH challenges and how they impact learning
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related field
- Experience in delivering outreach or home tutoring services
Working Conditions:
This role involves working closely with students with SEMH needs, in home settings. The tutor may need to travel to different locations within the East of England region.
