Harper May is partnering with an innovative technology company that is seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance to lead its finance function during a critical phase of growth. With a fast-scaling business model and a focus on digital products and platforms, the company requires a finance leader who can provide strategic insight, operational control, and support for long-term value creation.Role Overview: As Head of Finance, you will oversee all financial operations, support decision-making with timely reporting and analysis, and play a central role in driving financial performance. This is a hands-on leadership position, offering the opportunity to shape the finance function in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day financial operations including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementDeliver high-quality, actionable financial insight to support strategic planning and commercial decision-making
Implement and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks
Manage statutory compliance, audit processes, and tax obligations
Partner with product, sales, and operational teams to align financial strategy with business goals
Oversee the development of financial models for new product launches, pricing, and market expansion
Contribute to board reporting and investor updates as required
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and growth
Key Requirements:
ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with strong post-qualified experiencePrior experience in a senior finance role within a technology, SaaS, or digital business
Excellent commercial acumen and the ability to influence strategic decisions
Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience of improving systems and controls
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scale-up or growth environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders across the business
