Band 7 CBT Therapist (Fixed Term)
We're looking to recruit a band 7 accredited CBT Therapist for 22.5 hours on a fixed term basis for 10 months.
The post is based at the adult community mental health team in Stowmarket. We are a friendly, supportive and dedicated multi-disciplinary team, with competencies and accreditations in a range of evidence based psychological therapies.
The ideal applicant(s) will be passionate about delivering evidence-based therapies and working psychologically with people experiencing mental health difficulties living in the community.
We welcome applications from internal candidates who are keen to work additional sessions as well as external candidates.
Main duties of the job
If you are passionate about CBT and are experienced in working psychologically with adults with complex presentations associated with community mental health, then this role will be perfect for you. Additional training in EMDR and / or DBT would be highly desirable.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Professional qualification and registration in a recognised mental health profession
- BABCP accreditation as a CBT Therapist
- Knowledge and experience acquired through relevant first professional qualification at degree or postgraduate degree level.
Experience
Essential criteria- Theoretical knowledge of CBT and the application of appropriate models of practice, according to client need
- Highly specialist assessment and formulation skills in CBT
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Knowledge of psychosocial interventions
