Accounts Trainee – Retford – Up to £25,000
Chase & Holland are proud to be exclusively partnering this unique, modern accountancy practice, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Trainee to join their fantastic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join a successful accountancy business with a modern approach which offers committed training and champions employee development. You will support the Accountant with bookkeeping and accounts administration duties including coding and processing receipts, scanning, uploading client paperwork and ensuring accuracy.

Accounts Trainee Responsibilities:
- Conducting the bank reconciliations
- Completing Payroll and CIS returns
- Supporting with client VAT returns
- Overseeing and organising client paperwork
- Reviewing clients’ receipts and invoices and uploading to the system
- Publishing data into the clients accounting software
- Carrying out general bookkeeping duties inclusive of sales ledger/purchase ledger
- Greeting clients and assisting with other ad-hoc admin duties
- Running client ID checks
- Development role to start preparing clients sole trader and partnership accounts
Required Skills & Experience:
- Enthusiastic and personable character, confident in greeting and communicating with clients
- Detail orientated and analytical, able to review data and identify errors
- Basic intermediate accounts experience desirable but not essential as full training is provided
- IT literate
