Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Salary: £1,800 - £2,000 per month
We are collaborating with an OFSTED-rated 'Outstanding' school in the borough of Wandsworth, which is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a reception classroom until the end of the academic year.
In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support a student with mild Special Educational Needs (SEN), assisting them throughout the day to stay focused and engaged in their learning experience.
As the designated 1:1 support for this student, you will need to be attentive, diligent, and genuinely passionate about working with children with additional needs.
You will be a valued member of the SEN department, working collaboratively with your colleagues to enhance and progress the learning of all students.

All staff, including Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistants, will have access to parking facilities, and the school is conveniently located within walking distance of bus stations and overground services.- Assist pupils in making good academic progress under the direction of the teacher and Inclusion Leader.
- Set challenging expectations that promote self-esteem and independence.
- Implement group or one-on-one interventions to support pupils facing emotional or social barriers to learning.
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model and setting high expectations.
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- An honours degree in Psychology (preferably at Upper Second class level) or equivalent.

- Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and all employment breaks must be explained.
