Job Description

Accounts Payable Manager:

• Directing day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department
• Line managing and developing 6 AP Assistants
• Ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers
• Maintaining accurate records and control reports
• Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information
• Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Participating in ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Leading and mentoring the accounts payable team

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:

• A strong understanding of accounts payable processes
• Previous experience in leadership and team management role
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong IT skills, particularly in finance systems and MS Excel
