Senior Finance Officer (Maternity Cover)
Prospectus is pleased to partner with our client for the recruitment of their new Senior Finance Officer (Maternity Cover). The contract extends until December 2025.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the Finance Team, supporting the financial administration and bookkeeping of both the Trust and its trading subsidiary, Third Age Trust Trading Limited (TATTL). Reporting to the Head of Internal Services, you will ensure the smooth financial operation of the organisation by managing key accounting processes, including income and expenditure recording, reconciliations, credit control, VAT returns, and payroll administration.
As Senior Finance Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing quarterly management accounts, liaising with auditors, and providing expert financial advice to colleagues and volunteers. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations while offering support across the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in financial administration and bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounting systems such as Oracle NetSuite. A Part Qualified candidate is preferred, and excellent numerical, analytical, and time management skills are essential.The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to explain financial concepts to non-finance colleagues. u3a operates a hybrid working policy, requiring full-time staff to attend the office two days a week, with one of those days being Tuesday.
