The post holder will work as a member of the team, providing and leading midwifery care to the service users and families accessing the services at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

The postholder will maintain own clinical skills and competencies and have excellent communication skills. The postholder will work within the NMC Code of professional standards and behaviour, and Trust guidelines and procedures.

The postholder will work within the multi-professional team and will be responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based care for service users attending the Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods.

The postholder will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of midwifery care needs of the individual in hospital and community setting depending on allocation to the in-patient area or Continuity of Care teams

The postholder will provide accurate, unbiased, non-judgemental evidence-based information to both the multi-professional team and service users.
