Social Media Manager
At Hilti, social media plays an integral role in the development of our brand. In this exciting new role of Social Media Manager for Great Britain, you will play a key role in the Manchester-based Digital and Brand team. You'll have end-to-end responsibility for developing, executing, and evaluating social media marketing activities that align with our business strategy and deliver against the team's ambitious targets.
What does the role involve?In this role you’ll be responsible for both long and short form Content Production, as well as Influencer Marketing, Social Selling, Social Customer Service and User Generated content. You’ll work together with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding the promotion and execution of social programs including the creation of monthly organic content, community management and paid social media campaigns.
As Social Media Manager for GB, you’ll own and run the GB Influencer programme, which includes enhancing the influencer portfolio, managing existing influencer relationships, commercial contract negotiations, content monitoring, product send outs and reporting.You’ll also be responsible for owning and running the GB LinkedIn Project to scale our LinkedIn community, ensuring we are well connected to our top customers on the platform, key decision makers and connections of mutual interest for certain strategic topics e.g. sustainability.
Collaboration will be key- you’ll be working with marketing stakeholders (product, trade, services, engineering, etc.) to develop social media content to support new product launches and marketing roadmap priorities. You’ll drive social media adoption and engagement in GB through all customer groups, internal and external stakeholders, and will actively participate in the Northern Europe Social Media Community in collaboration with Northern Europe Social Media Manager and social media team members from other Northern European countries.
Analytics will also play a key role – you will be gathering insights and utilising metrics on a regular basis to evaluate social media performance and make recommendations on improvements and optimisations, as well as taking best concepts and initiatives across Hilti globally and implementing them within the local market.
Other duties will include:
- Facilitating employee enablement education and training regarding social media guidelines and best practices throughout all levels of the organization that supports positive brand messaging and visibility.
- Collaborating with the global team and other marketing organizations on strategic initiatives and pilot programs
- Seeking innovative solutions and content to deliver the wow experience with our digital presence.
- Implementing and executing enhancements/upgrades in line with project timelines and strategy
- Community and crisis management across the GB social channels. Partner with subject matter experts, management, and legal to handle questions, feedback, complaints, or crises professionally and promptly, maintaining the brand reputation.
- Staying updated on social media trends, best practices, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to adapt strategies and remain competitive.
What you need is: Direct experience with social media platforms and communication in the GB market (organic and paid)
Good understanding of the full digital marketing mixExperience with social media management platforms like Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Falcon, or similar
You’ll need to be comfortable and willing to be camera-facing
You’ll be highly-organised, with strong planning skills and high attention to detail
