We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Science Teacher to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team at a vibrant school. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with engaging and practical science lessons.
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in fostering a love for science, developing students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skills, and preparing them for future studies and careers in STEM fields. This role begins April 2025.
Duties of a General Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to a general science standard, ensuring students develop a well-rounded understanding.
- Create interactive and practical learning experiences to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure high levels of attainment.
- Differentiate lessons to support the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
- Engage with parents and carers to support student progress.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Ideal General Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related field.
- Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Science (ECTs are welcome to apply).
- A passion for inspiring young minds and making Science accessible and exciting.
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student behaviour and progress.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a General Science Teacher.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
