Financial Accountant

Robert Half have partnered with a very exciting organisation based in North Bristol to support them with recruitment of an Interim Financial Accountant.

Hybrid working: 3 days on site, 2 remote

• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and returns across the group, including direct liaison with HMRC and Companies House on matters such as VAT, CIS, PAYE, and corporation tax.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all account codes.
• Take part in the external audit process, acting as a key contact for auditors and addressing their queries.
• Manage ad hoc financial reporting projects as required.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with the reporting timetable.
• Support the monitoring and updating of cash flow forecasts.
• Compile and submit data requests from the Office for National Statistics.
• Drive continuous improvements in finance system functionality and internal controls.

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong technical understanding of UK GAAP.
• Proven experience in preparing statutory returns and liaising with Companies House and HMRC.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-driven.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
