Millfield School is seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Travel and Transport Office Administrator. This key role supports the smooth running of our school’s transport services, working closely with the Travel and Transport Manager.

As the first point of contact for all things related to transport, you will be responsible for managing the schedules of our fleet of minibuses, issuing vehicle keys, and coordinating regularly with various departments, drivers, and external transport providers.

Your role will ensure that all communications and arrangements are handled with precision and efficiency, guaranteeing the smooth running of the school's transport system.

Your role will also involve assisting our finance team, where your attention to detail will ensure that student accounts are accurately reconciled. Additionally, you will be responsible for obtaining quotes for school excursions and sporting events, booking external transport when necessary, and assisting with the organisation of student travel arrangements at the end of each term.

We seek someone with strong organisational skills, proficiency in Office 365, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While transport experience is desirable, full training will be provided.

This year-round position offers 31 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday. The standard working hours are from 8.30am to 3.30pm on four days and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on one day, though we are happy to offer flexibility for the right candidate.

Part-time applicants will also be considered.

In return, you will receive a salary based on age: those under the age of 21 will earn £11.78 per hour, totalling £18,989.36 per annum, and those aged 21 and over will receive £12.21 per hour, totalling £19,682.52 per annum, in line with the National Living Wage.

You will also benefit from a number of staff perks, including generous holiday entitlement, freshly prepared lunches for just £10 per month, access to the school facilities, and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.
