Page Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well established accountancy practice based in Bolton.Established for over 50 years the business has gone from strength to strength and now boasts of a team of around 20 full time accountants in addition to admin & payroll staff.

Job Description

Payroll specialist duties will include:

• Calculating and customising payslips.
• Processing starter & leaver information.
• Manual calculations of statutory payments including SSP, SMP etc.
• Completion of year end tax returns on behalf of clients.
• Dealing with clients PAYE accounts and RTI submissions.
• Input of payroll journals.
• Keeping up to date with legislation and rates for statutory payments.
• Assisting clients with queries around pay.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Specialist candidate will:

• Have a proven track record in a similar role (bureau / practice payroll)
• Be able to work to tight deadlines
• CIPP qualification is desirable (not essential)
• Knowledge of Sage payroll would be beneficial (not essential)
• Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
• Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
