Assistant Management Accountant
Location: WolverhamptonSalary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to perm
About the Company:Our client, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in management accounting and gain valuable experience in a supportive and professional environment.
This role offers hybrid working, flexible working hours and a competitive salary. With it being temp to perm I am looking for someone to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Support the production of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
- Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models
- Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts
- Collaborate with different departments to gather financial data
- Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying trends and discrepancies
- Assist with audits and year-end reporting
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc financial tasks and projects
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) or working towards a professional accounting qualification
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
