Our vision is to “transform lives through access to knowledge and resources, promote lifelong learning and strengthen communities by meeting their evolving needs.”

We are looking for a confident, hands-on Human Resources Advisor who shares this vision and wants to join our busy HR Team. You will be the first point of contact for all Suffolk Libraries HR queries, with your main area of responsibility being to support our prison library staff.

In particular you will:

  • Provide support to managers on performance, disciplinary, absence, grievance and appeal matters including attending meetings either virtually or face to face.
  • Recruitment support including drafting job specs, working with recruiters and carrying out interviews.
  • Carrying out inductions and onboarding
  • Assist in organising company events, training and staff wellbeing activities
Who are we looking for:
With a friendly, approachable style you will have:
  • A strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
  • A professional, generalist HR background.
  • A “can do”, client service approach.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, together with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and build credibility quickly.
  • Previous experience of working as a HR generalist or HR Advisor

This role is a permanent position, working 32 hours per week. Hybrid and Multisite working with at least one day a week working closely with our HR Team in Ipswich.

The organisation is offering a salary of £30,000 to £32,000 per annum pro rata with an exciting benefits package which you will be entitled to, such as joining the group pension scheme, group income protection, life assurance, hybrid working and developmental opportunities.

You will be working within a collaborative and supportive team that values creativity and innovation.

Closing Date: 23rd October 2024
