Our client, a successful and growing technology business based in Guildford, is offering an exciting opportunity for a keen learner to join their team as a Business Administration Apprentice.
This role offers the chance to learn on the job, develop new skills, and obtain a Level 3 Business Administration qualification with the support of their specialist training provider, Boom Training.

With a focus on growth and development, they are looking for a motivated individual to support their administrative functions while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.This is an office-based role that will require the successful candidate to obtain security clearance.
Tasks
As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will assist and support the Office Manager in a variety of tasks, including:
- Performing general administrative duties and providing support across the office.
- Preparing and processing documentation, including updating the in-house purchasing system, creating invoices, and processing purchase invoices for payments.
- Managing stock, including data entry and labeling of assets (with support from the IT Manager).
- Documenting processes as required and ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Answering and handling telephone queries professionally.
- Meeting and greeting visitors and ensuring the correct sign-in procedure is followed.
- Managing the sending and receiving of parcels and post.
- Handling online purchasing, including ordering kitchen supplies, office stationery, and organizing on-site catering.
- Performing other general and departmental administration tasks as needed.
- Keen to learn, use initiative, and take on new tasks.
- Able to work independently, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Punctual, with good time management skills.
- Adaptable to a versatile role, with good communication skills.
- At least basic IT skills, including competent use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) – further training can be provided.
- Good attention to detail, especially with numeracy.
- Ability to obtain UK security clearance.
Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths (Grade 4 and above are essential).
Training Provided:
- Business Administrator Level 3 qualification (typical duration 15-18 months).
- Dedicated performance coach throughout the apprenticeship.
- At least 8 hours per week focused on training, delivered in-house through shadowing, on-the-job training, or via webinars provided by Boom Training.
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (core hours 10-12pm, 2-4pm).
