Job Duties:
- Provide tailored English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans to support students' academic progress
- Assess students' abilities and adapt teaching methods to meet their specific needs
- Monitor and track students' progress, providing regular feedback to parents and relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with school staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching or tutoring
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
- Experience using assistive technology in teaching
- Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
- Work in a one-to-one setting, at the pupils home
- Collaborative work environment with school staff and external professionals
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
