Group Financial Accountant

Hays are currently recruiting for a leading service provider based in Darlington who pride themselves on delivering cutting-edge solutions that drive success for their clients.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and consolidate financial statements for our diverse group of companies.
• Analyse financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Conduct financial audits and prepare detailed reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth.
• Providing advice on technical accounting areas including analysis of the impacts of developments and changes in GAAP.
• Assisting with group taxation affairs including year-end tax accounting, corporation tax compliance and maintenance of the group tax risk register.

What the client is looking for:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
