Job Duties - Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
  • Assist in implementing behavioural management strategies as directed by the SENCO
  • Monitor and track student behaviour and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Attend training sessions to enhance skills in behaviour management and intervention techniques

Required Qualifications for this Behaviour Support Assistant role:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Full driving Licence

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in behaviour management techniques
