Job Duties - Behaviour Support Assistant:
- Provide support to students with challenging behaviour in an educational setting
- Assist in implementing behavioural management strategies as directed by the SENCO
- Monitor and track student behaviour and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Attend training sessions to enhance skills in behaviour management and intervention techniques
Required Qualifications for this Behaviour Support Assistant role:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full driving Licence
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Additional training in behaviour management techniques
