Job Description:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our secondary students, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs. This role involves working with students who have a variety of additional needs, including but not limited to learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with additional needs.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting adults or children with additional needs is essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are desirable but not essential.
