What the school offers its staff

We are committed to providing an efficient and effective kitchen service to ensure that our academy has the highest standards of catering provision throughout. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to join our team and undertake the role of Catering Assistant.

The vacancy will be for 12.5 hours per week, working every day during term time from 12pm to 2.30pm, term time only.

Duties include preparation of food under the direction of the Senior Cook, assisting with cleaning of the kitchen where necessary. Serving children at lunch time, accepting and checking deliveries, putting stock away and informing the Cook of stock needed.

Ideally a Food Hygiene certificate will be held but training can be given if necessary. There will be some lifting and moving of equipment all carried out under current Health and Safety guidelines, again training will be given.
