Desktop Support Analyst - Bank in the City London
Our Client is an International Bank with its European Head Office based int eh City London.
They are looking to recruit a Desktop Support Analyst with at least 5 to 8 years proven expertise within Desktop Support.
The Support team operate a rota to cover the core hours from 7.30 am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
You will be working as a part of the Service Support Team and as such providing Desktop Support to around 130 users across several countries in Europe with the bulk in the City London.
This position will require you to have experience in hardware builds for both PC's and Servers along with software installations and upgrades.
It will also include login permissions along with training users in the use of software.
The focus of the role will be to take control of all issues and problems raised by users and ensure that they are clearly documented and followed up with the appropriate action to resolve them within the Support Team.
The Client uses Cisco and Microsoft platforms so you need to have experience of both Cisco and Microsoft software.
In terms of the types of software the Client uses - the following is a list of the various software and tools that they would like you to have experience of:
-In-depth knowledge of CISCO including firewalls, switches and routing protocols
-In-depth knowledge of supporting a data-centre and branch inter-connectivity- Strong technical skills are essential
- CISCO certification, ideally CCNP
- CISCO CSM
- VLAN segregation
- McAfee HIPS, Trend Micro
- Centralised authentication service (AAA)
- SafeNet Ethernet Encryptor
- RADIUS / RSA
- Security certification (advantageous)
You will also need to an understanding of the following technologies:
VLAN segregation. DMZ. VSS. Failover. OSPF. High availability.
CISCO. Palo Alto. Juniper. McAfee IPS. SafeNet. Tripwire.
This is a permanent role and salary for this position is between £45K - £50K.
