Qualified Social Worker Child Protection - Birkenhead

Rate: £37.00 per hour

Knowsley Council's Child Protection Team is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in safeguarding children and supporting families in need of intervention and care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a varied caseload of child protection and children in need cases.
• Conduct Section 47 investigations and other risk assessments.
• Develop and implement child protection plans and safety plans.
• Attend and contribute to case conferences, core groups, and court proceedings.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with experience in child protection or statutory children's services.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory requirements.
• Excellent assessment, analytic, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
