Job Opportunity: Social Worker - Duty and Assessment Team ?
Location: Halton Council

Rate: £45.34 per hour

Halton Council's Duty and Assessment Team is seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join their dedicated team. This is a pivotal role for a motivated professional who is passionate about safeguarding children and supporting families at the earliest stages of intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake initial assessments and Section 47 investigations.
  • Respond promptly to referrals, identifying and addressing immediate risks to children.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure robust risk assessments and decision-making.
  • Prepare clear and concise court reports and other statutory documentation.
  • Maintain high standards of record-keeping and comply with relevant legislation and policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with experience in duty and assessment or similar teams.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and statutory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytic, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
