Nursery Housekeeper

What you’ll be doing
- Keep the Nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, staff and families
- Encourage and model behaviour which is appropriate in a child environment being professional at all times
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day
- To carry out daily laundry duties as required
- To respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality, for example being aware of personal information regarding children
- Support, promote and implement policies and procedures
- Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking of certain domestic tasks within the nursery e.g. supporting over meal times, cleaning of equipment and supporting Nursery Chef.
- To take reasonable care of yourself and others and to comply with company Health and Safety guidelines whilst understanding the importance of keeping everyone safe and the part you play.
- Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
- Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements (desirable)
- Great communication skills, with both colleagues, children, and parents.
