You will be responsible for liaising with sales team and other functions to ensure prompt, efficient and reliable service delivery for our customers. You’ll be accepting customer equipment orders over the telephone and via email. Of course, you’ll be collaborating with our depots to ensure that our customers’ orders are fulfilled promptly and effectively.
You make the arrangements with the customers and then you make sure that all of the administration that is needed for the rental is done correctly.
As an effective Hire Controller in Scott's , your main priority is thinking of the customers’ best interests. This means that you listen carefully to the customers’ wishes and are able to anticipate them well.. Of course, you never miss an opportunity to explain to the customers which additional machines or products could benefit their projects.
As an efficient Hire Controller, you will be maintaining regular contact with your customers to check if they have any new requirements and making outbound telemarketing calls to current and prospective customers.Finally, when the customer has finished with the machines, you’ll be arranging for the collection and return of them and ensuring that the customer has received the best experience possible from Scott's Hire!

To also become the best at Scott's as a Hire Controller, you have to:
- Have a good knowledge of the plant machinery and small tool hire industries.
- Be IT literate and experienced in using windows applications, Syrinx and other hire inputting computer systems
- Have excellent customer service skills coupled with tactful communication
- Display a friendly and courteous telephone manner.
- Be a strong team player, and enjoy working in a team.
- Understanding that customer satisfaction is paramount.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Be available to work full-time hours.
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
