Job Summary:
As a Back of House (BOH) Team Member, you will be responsible for supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality food while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Your role will involve cooking, food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to food safety standards.

You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, cooking, and plating dishes according to recipes, standards, and customer requests.
  • Kitchen Operations: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen tools.
  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing food items.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, stock supplies, and communicate shortages or issues to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to food safety standards, health regulations, and kitchen policies, ensuring safe handling, preparation, and storage of food.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other BOH and Front of House (FOH) team members to ensure timely food delivery and exceptional service.
  • Quality Control: Inspect food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency and high standards are maintained.
  • Waste Management: Minimize food waste through proper portion control and efficient use of ingredients.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or back-of-house role is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time effectively, and multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment.
