SEN Youth Worker

Pay Rate: From £85 per day

• Provide support to SEN students, focusing on those with ASD.
• Work effectively with small groups, fostering engagement and positive behaviour.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to enhance their learning experience.
• Experience as a Youth Worker or in a similar role with secondary-age students.
• Proven ability to support SEN pupils, especially those with ASD.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour.
• Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
• Background in primary or SEN education (advantageous).
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, though training will be provided).
• Accredited Training: Free professional development opportunities.
• Interview Support: Guidance to ensure you're prepared and confident.
• Lesson Planning Assistance: Resources to help you deliver engaging sessions.

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Possess an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Provide two professional references.
