Working in a busy, open plan office, you will use your work experience to provide professional medical secretarial support to Neonatal consultants.

Main duties of the job

Being first point of contact for parents

Typing clinic and admin letters using Trust digital dictation software

Arranging tests and following up results

Arranging appointments and booking clinic rooms

Cashing up clinics

Liaising with other NHS providers and other health and social care organisations

Working closely with consultants

Diary management

Person specification

Education

Essential criteria
  • English Language GCSE Grade C or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • AMSPAR or Medical Terminology qualification
  • Typing qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Medical secretary experience
  • Working knowledge and Experience of Microsoft office
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience working in an administrative role
  • Medical support secretary experience
  • Working knowledge of PAS/Clinical Web Portal/Dragon dictation system
