The Clinical Lead will: Share senior leadership and clinical management responsibly, as detailed above, for all aspects of clinical quality, performance, standards, regulation and delivery with the General Manager and Lead Nurse [or equivalent roles].
Share Leadership of the development and delivery of care in SCLDS with the General Manager and Lead Nurse in relation to embedding the principles of the Clinical and Social Care Strategy, i.e., care that is person-centred, trauma-informed, evidence-led and strengths-based.
Be a visible advocate who leads the strategic clinical development of the SCLDS across all the professional teams in SCLDS which best serve those who access and are supported by the SCLDS. To ensure SCLDS staff behaviours and attitudes reflect Trust vision and values and create a culture where these values can thrive.
Share responsibility with the General Manager and Lead Nurse [or equivalent roles] for achieving high standards of care; clinical governance; high operational performance; sound financial management; and improving productivity. Ensure optimum use of people and other resources and challenge where a more cost effective, clinically safe option is available.
Responsible for the delivery and implementation of clinical governance, continuous quality improvement, clinical safety, and clinical benefits delivery. Work with colleagues to develop a culture of person-centred care, co-production, continuous improvement, leadership for improvement and team-based quality assurance.
Promote equality of opportunity in service delivery and employment, ensuring that no person receives less favourable treatment than another on the grounds of their protected characteristics. Work with the General Manager and Lead Nurse [or equivalent roles] to ensure effective management of public resource in line with commissioned requirements.
Ensure genuine partnerships with service users and carers/families and other statutory and non-statutory organisations/groups are in place to continue to transform and develop services as required. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, notably the Mental Health Act, Human Rights Act and Mental Health Capacity Act, and also the Health and Social Care Act and the Data Protection Act within SCLDS.
