Accounts Assistant

• Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 DOE
• Location: Southend on Sea
• Job Type: 8.30 to 17.30 (No Hybrid)

A leading company in the industry is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis at their head office. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within a small and friendly team.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Handle administrative tasks such as email and telephone correspondence, filing, and printing.
• Assist with the sales and purchase ledger.
• Manage phone calls, both incoming and outgoing.
• Process supplier invoices and check supplier statements.
• Engage in credit control activities.
• Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good telephone manner and great attention to detail.
• Solid numeracy skills.
• Ideally studying towards an AAT or have a desire to do so (desirable but not essential).
• Interest in finance and a keenness to learn.
• Ability to work confidently as part of a team and build good rapport with customers and colleagues.
