English Teacher with a passion to become a Deputy SENDCO
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher who is interested in developing their career further by training to become a Deputy SENDCO. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach English to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, as well as support the SENDCO in providing tailored assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Collaborate with the Sendco to identify and support students with SEND
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SEND policies and strategies
- Provide one-to-one and small group interventions for students with additional needs
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as a Deputy SENDCO
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English
- Experience working with students with SEND (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to promoting inclusive and supportive learning environments
- Possession of NASENDCO qualification, or willingness to work towards.
