CEO Support/Executive Assistant
JOB DESCRIPTION & TERMS

BACKGROUND TO THE JOB
Duties will include:Ongoing assistance with Diary management; Support him around all his written work, Including (construction, correspondence, taking notes at
meetings, research for meetings, proofreading
Drafting documnets for CEO form the out line that he will provied and your own research for ex-sample job dicriptions, complaint letters.
Proofreading and editing with the CEO business communications, from emails to board reports(including writing from dictation and restructuring draft content); digesting long pieces of writing
and presenting it verbally.
Preparation for meetings; Assisting CEO in meetings and taking notes; Brefing CEO on emails – scanning, reading flagging, following through; Supporting the CEO undertaking internet and other research;
Reminding CEO of key dates and supporting him as he completes statutory returns such as Com-
panies House etc;Helping CEO acess and adminstart online accounts:
Supporting CEO when he prepares for Board meetings; Supporting CEO when he is engaged in staff planning; Supporting CEO with legal correspondence and documents; Supporting CEO when he is drafting documents helping with organisation and structure
Suporting CEO by filling information on the orgnsations cloud and finding information upon it.Working with CEO and Grants officer around the database for our beneficiaries
Ensuring he has emails read to him
It helps if CEO has an overview of websites, updates etc. and he needs support in keeping on top
of communications with staff and others.
Keeping him up-to-date on written documents and policies released by Government and other
bodies
Support around access issues; eg following up and ensuring compliance with requests for
information in an accessible format, challenging where there have been breaches, and drafting
official complaints to statutory bodies;
Daily and Ongoing using Zoom, FaceTime & Face-toFace: Attending meetings
- Ensuring he is at meetings on time
- Ensuring he is briefed on upcoming meetings
- Reading through agendas and minutes
- Ensuring he has a set of notes that can be taken away from meetings and he can
Ongoing meetings include: The Loneliness Action Group, The Loneliness & Social,Isolation in
Mental Health Research Network, Tackling Loneliness Network (DCMS) Digital Equality Group, The Digital Equality Group & the DTG), Togetherness Hub
This will cover the majority of the tasks required by the CEO, but is not exhaustive.
CHANGES TO THE JOBThis job description is not restrictive and needs to be flexible to cope with the changing needs
of charity . It should be taken as the current representation and consequently will be subject to
review no less than annually.
TERMSPosition: Support worker
Reporting to: CEO
Salary and benefits: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
Contract type: Full time. Initial three month contract with view to extension.
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm
