An exciting opportunity has arisen for VAT Clerk / Bookkeeperto join a well-established accountancy firm. In this role, you will prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for client usingSage accounting software.

This role has an opportunity to transition into preparing working papers and receive training for future roles in the accounting department.

You will be responsible for:

• Work with the accounts team to prepare working papers.
• Support clients with VAT and bookkeeping queries.
• Use Sage accounting software primarily, with potential use of Xero, QuickBooks, or FreeAgent as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Previouslyworked as aVAT Clerk, Bookkeeperor in a similar role.
• Skilled in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or FreeAgent).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic bookkeeping skills and knowledge of VAT regulations.
• Eager to learn and take on additional accounting responsibilities.
