Your Role

This post is an excellent opportunity for someone with enthusiasm and experience to join the long-established Welfare Rights Team, part of the Resident Advice Service, which also includes Debt Advice, Cost of Living Helpline, Crisis Support and Income Maximisation

This Welfare Rights Support Officer post is within an experienced team providing specialist advice to members of the public about benefits and helping them to claim

About You

We'd like to hear from you if you are knowledgeable and experienced in this field of work, a good communicator and committed to excellent customer service and equal opportunities. You should also be empathic and committed to assisting vulnerable people

You will be joining a supportive team which takes pride in the services we offer to residents. We offer a flexible, high quality service delivered in person and by telephone; at an office base in the Stockport Council complex, in community settings/residents’ homes and from home.
