The successful candidate should preferably possess:- A strong commitment to enabling and celebrating authentic Autistic identity.
- A PGCE/ Cert Ed, or equivalent level 5 teaching qualification.
- A creative and individualised approach to curriculum development.
- Experience of planning, delivering and ensuring high quality teaching and learning experiences for autistic students with additional support needs.
- Excellent organisation, communication and project management skills.
- Experience of working with key external stakeholders and internal professionals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the successful operation of a vibrant college site while following Safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and students.
- Ensuring the wellbeing and professional development of a diverse staff team while maintaining high quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Ensuring that best practice is maintained in accordance with ESPA College Policies and Procedures and relevant company policies.
- Monitoring and updating student’s EHCP plans and tracking progress made towards achieving their long term aspirations.
