Specialist Physiotherapy Practitioner Rehabilitation

This rotational rehabilitation post is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has a special interest in rehabilitation and wishes to enhance and broaden their clinical skills and knowledge within this area of practice.
This rotational rehabilitation post includes rotations in Medical & Elderly, Community, Intermediate care, PACT, Orthopaedics, Neuro-Rehabilitation and Respiratory Care. The role includes on call commitments.
The teams are integrated Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services who are supportive and motivated to develop and deliver outstanding care.
The caseload is both varied and challenging in terms of complexity and variety and delivered across in patient, community and out-patient settings and the successful applicant will be supported by a wide team of therapy and MDT staff.
The service has a comprehensive in-house training/supervision and support programme in place to develop staff and supports ongoing postgraduate education and dedicated time for personal development.
We are looking to appoint a motivated, dynamic individual with the appropriate qualifications and experience within the NHS in a rehabilitation setting, including demonstration of a flexible approach and a drive to develop themselves and the service they work in.
A British driving licence is essential, as is access to a car with business insurance.
Main duties of the job
To undertake a defined range of high standard professional duties, within the therapy services, working across the Trust in a range of ward, outpatient, paediatric and community settings.
The post requires the post holder to work as part of a team.The post holder could have supervisory responsibilities for some assistant workforce staff.
The post holder will have responsibility for participating in the supervision and education of junior staff, and also the supervision and education of student physiotherapists and work experience students.
There are no budgetary or direct staff management responsibilities.

Person specification
Experience
Essential criteria- Substantial post-graduate experience, including recent experience in the NHS
- Previous rotations within the Rehabilitation setting
Skills
Essential criteria- Good communication and organisational skills
- Competent in core areas of Physiotherapy practise
- Competent IT skills
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
- Attendance on external post-graduate courses
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree in Physiotherapy Studies
- HCPC Registered
- Clinical Educators course
- Relevant specialist qualification or training to diploma level or equivalent experience
- Evidence of current CPD
- Post registration qualification in relevant subject
- MCSP
- Leadership or management development qualification / courses
