Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a good knowledge of maternity digital systems (K2MS Athena and Guardian) to support our maternity services, support the delivery of service change including the ongoing development of the maternity information system and electronic patient record.

You will work closely within a team of Digital Midwives to support the delivery of the maternity digital strategy.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria- Registered Midwife
- Requires NMC registration on relevant part of register.
- Professional knowledge acquired through Midwifery training to Degree Level or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
- Mentorship course or equivalent teaching experience.
- Leadership/ Management Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Registered Midwife
- Has a knowledge of Midwifery data collection and reporting
- Has a knowledge and experience of working with database, data analysis and coding.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Decision making ability.
- Experience of clinical audit and presentation.
- Experience of stakeholder and partnership working.
- Evidence of facilitation skills
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria- Ability to store data/ information safely and correctly.
- Ability to provide formal teaching development to staff/ colleagues.
- Ability to evaluate effectiveness of learning activities and identifies how it could be improved.
- Report Writing Skills
- Presentation Skills
- IT Literate (MS Word/Excel & PowerPoint, Publisher)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the Maternity Department and the Trust.
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm towards teaching and sharing knowledge.
- Understanding of own knowledge and skills framework and ability to identify learning needs and interest.
- Ability to self-reflect, carry out tasks of own job and identify learning needs and interests.
