What can you offer us?
We are actively seeking a well-qualified and inspirational full time English teacher for September 2025. This position arises owing to expanding pupil numbers and changes to the structure of our staffing, both within the department and across the College as a whole.
The successful candidate will be able and willing to teach the subject across all year groups, with the possibility of involvement in either or both A Level courses alongside our GCSE programme and teaching in younger years. This position will ideally suit someone with a strong academic track record, a passion for the subject and an ambition to gain experience in a successful school with the very highest standards and expectations.The successful candidate will be hard-working, demonstrate strong collaborative skills, and have the drive to develop their own teaching skills as well as to share good practice with colleagues.
This position will involve teaching a full academic timetable (currently 27 x 40 minute periods per week) across the Denstone teaching week (including some Saturday morning lessons). All full-time staff at Denstone serve as house tutors and also make a commitment to the school’s extra-curricular programme: a willingness to be involved in such activities will be advantageous.Life at Denstone is full and immensely rewarding!
