Customer Assistant/Delivery Driver

We're on the hunt for a Customer Assistant/Delivery Driver to join the team in our new branch in Chelmsford, who's as passionate about great service as we are!

Key Responsibilities
This is a multi-skilled role covering all areas of our branch, from customer service, warehouse and delivery driving, giving you opportunity to learn and develop within the team.- Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our JPS values
- Develop great relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions
- Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, manage stock control and keep customers updated throughout their journey
- Pick and prepare customer orders in our warehouse, load and unload customer and delivery vehicles
- Deliver and unload orders to our customers sites, using a 3.5t van in and around the Chelmsford area
- Keep the branch and yard/warehouse looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
- Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts and rotations
- Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
- Valid UK manual driving license (no more than 6 points) is a requirement of this role
- Previous industry experience preferred but not essential
- Experience in a customer facing environment
- IT literate and a strong communicator
- Passion for working with people with a positive can-do attitude
