We are focused on the attraction and recruitment, development and retention and progression of high calibre talent to ensure we and our clients benefit from the value of difference.Main responsibilitiesAssist in the review and development of operational risk frameworks including policies and proceduresReview and analysis of Group wide operational risk information for quarterly reporting to senior management, including provision of commentaryAssist in the annual operational risk and control assessment processAssist in the Group/s second line monitoring processAssist in the incident management process to ensure consistency of informationInvolvement in ad hoc initiatives or other Group Risk activities as requiredGuidance to businesses and functions on queries relating to operational riskWork in partnership with other second line assurance functions across the Rothschild & Co GroupSkills and competencies requiredAttention to detail and accuracy.
Accomplishing tasks by considering all areas involved, showing concern for all aspects of the job and accurately checking processes and tasksStrong organisational skills.In particular the ability and experience to plan and track your own work schedule.Conscientious and ability to progress tasks independently.
Being a small team, constant supervision is not feasible, and as a result the role offers the opportunity to deliver tasks with more autonomyA genuine interest in operational risk.
The role covers various business units across multiple geographic locations and support will be provided, however you will also be expected to be proactive in your approach to learning and development and to share these learnings with the team.Knowledge and Qualifications required3
- 5 years operational risk experience, including risk incident analysis and reporting preferably within the financial services sector.Knowledge of UK and International regulatory framework for operational riskAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite of softwareGood report writing skillsStrong interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships across the businessOperational risk and/or audit background, with exposure to Asset Management, Wealth Management, Investment Banking or other relevant investment or professional experienceProven ability to understand, identify, analyse and communicate operational risks within processesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in French is desirable but not essential.
