This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed.
Job overview
PTHB is excited to recruit a permanent Mid/ South Band 5 Community dietitian covering Brecon, Ystradgynlais and Bronllys and Llandrindod Wells. In the heart of beautiful mid Wales, Powys Dietetics team aims to deliver expert and flexible nutritional care to local community.You could be a new graduate, or B5 seeking wider experience, and will have opportunity to manage a diverse clinical caseload covering inpatients, clinics, home enteral feeding, care homes and public health in an agreed job plan. You will be well supported by committed and experienced colleagues, and encouraged with structured development to prepare for advancement to B6 roles by our Dietetics leadership team working in many areas of dietetics.
We encourage everyone to take an active part in clinical and service improvement, and opportunities for supervision and learning will be supported.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible and motivated, committed to ongoing CPD through our graduate preceptorship framework, and have a holistic MDT approach working within the British Dietetic Association Professional Code of conduct, Professional Standards of Practice, and the HCPC code of conduct.They will demonstrate good communication and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and work collaboratively within a team. The service actively supports student training from Cardiff and Glyndwr Universities.
Digital infrastructure is well developed in Powys to meet demand and success of remote consultation, though face to face contacts can be arranged as clinically appropriate. A car driver is essential for this post. English and/ or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply, though Welsh speaking is desirable
