A leading Top 50+50 Accountancy Practice are expanding their audit team to manage audit engagements, develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of their firm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, manage, control, and conduct audit fieldwork for a portfolio of clients under the direction of the Audit Partners.
- Monitor performance of audit delivery against agreed KPIs and report on this, including providing potential solutions to issues.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements for non-audit clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Manage and develop junior members of the team, providing leadership, coaching, and supervision.
- Carry out technical research and provide advice to clients and other team members.
- Assist in the development of the audit department, including proposals for new work and performance improvement.
- Network within the business communities where our offices and clients are based.
- Travel to other offices and client sites as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA or ACCA part qualified or qualified.
- Significant experience within an audit and assurance team.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and supervise junior staff.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
- Good knowledge of UK Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Caseware audit software and Sage Accounts software is advantageous.
