Office Manager at Alexandra Park Junior School

Full time, 36.66 hours per week. Term time plus 3 weeks. Permanent, to commence as soon as possible.

Salary: Point 23 - 27 of the School Support Staff Pay Scale currently £32,076 - £35,745 per annum. (Actual Salary £29,250-£32,595) Pay award pending.

The Pinnacle Learning Trust, in partnership with Alexandra Park Junior School, is looking to appoint an Office Manager to work in this new role at the school.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the school office, building good relationships with all pupils, parents, staff, governors and outside agencies. The school office is an extremely dynamic, busy and fast paced environment, requiring someone who has the ability to self-manage and multi-task, whilst remaining calm.

The successful candidate will be friendly and approachable and committed to providing an excellent service.

The Office Manager will manage and have oversight of school administration policies and processes to ensure that the school administration team provides an effective service that meets the needs of the school. They will work closely with the Trust’s central service teams to ensure effective financial; estates; health and safety; resource; and, people management.

We are looking to appoint a hardworking, honest, dependable and self-motivated person who can demonstrate a firm commitment to the ethos, aims and values of the school and who pays particular attention to detail. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to their work and ability to work independently as well as play a key role within a busy team.

You should have excellent communication skills and extensive administration and/or finance experience. Previous experience of working in education would be an advantage.

Alexandra Park Junior School, based in Glodwick, Oldham, has more than 350 pupils with three forms in each year group. It prides itself on its vision to ‘Learn, Be Happy and Achieve Our Best’.
