What skills and experience we're looking for

Scarcroft Primary School is looking to appoint a caring and dedicated person to coordinate and lead all aspects of the school’s after school provision for pupils.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality care and provision for the pupils who attend the after school club. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of pupils, preparing and delivering engaging activities and supervising the dedicated teams of staff who care for and look after our pupils during this time.

You will have experience of working with children or young people and a minimum of a Level 2 qualification that is relevant to working within the after school club environment, as well as GCSE qualifications in English and maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.

Additional qualifications in food hygiene and first aid are desirable, but training will be provided if you do not already hold these. You will be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and staff, and have experience of planning and delivering engaging activities for pupils, making the school’s provision a warm, fun and supportive place to be.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 15 October 2024.
