Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN (Special Educational Needs) support worker to join our team in Hackney, London. In this temporary role, you will be expected to work full-time hours, providing individualised support to students with special educational needs within an educational setting.
Job Duties:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis
- Implement educational and behavioural strategies to promote student progress and development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create individualised learning plans
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and challenges
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
- Knowledge of relevant educational strategies and interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Special Educational Needs)
- Prior experience working in an educational setting with individuals with special educational needs
- Understanding of educational frameworks and regulations related to special educational needs
- Ability to adapt support strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certification in special educational needs support
- Experience working with a diverse range of special educational needs
Working Conditions:
- This role is based in an educational setting in Hackney, north London
- Full-time hours, temporary position
- Salary range of £15 - £20 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
