We are a specialist independent school for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is seeking a dedicated Teacher to deliver a highly personalised curriculum to secondary aged pupils working at a Primary curriculum. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to students with ASD, focusing on individual strengths and needs.
• Utilise a deep understanding of the curriculum to ensure all teaching methods and materials meet inspection requirements and enhance student learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons, sharing best practices and insights.
• Engage with students beyond the classroom to support their personal development, independence, and resilience.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment, prioritising safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students.
• Regularly assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to maximise learning outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A relevant teaching qualification is essential.
• Proven experience in classroom teaching, particularly in settings catering to students with ASD.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum frameworks, assessment methods, and inspection requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and a keen interest in advancing personal teaching skills, particularly in ASD-specific strategies.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour with patience and effective strategies.
