Teaching Personnel are working alongside one of our fantastic partnership schools in Coleford to recruit an English Teacher. The successful candidate would be working in a flourishing English department. The school pushes its pupils to achieve the very best academic standards in all its subject areas.Ideally the candidate would have a minimum of one year’s teaching experience, but newly qualified teachers will also be considered.
The role will involve teaching Key stage 3 and 4 in a full-time position.
The hours are from 8.30am – 3.30pm.
The pay rates for the role are between £166.32 - £230 per day. (Depending on Pay Scale)
Start date is with Immediate effect.
Contract duration is Full-time until the end of the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective English language lessons, ensuring adherence to the curriculum guidelines.
- Create engaging and interactive learning materials to support students' language development.
- Facilitate classroom discussions and activities that promote effective communication and critical thinking skills.
- Assess students' language proficiency and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
- Implement appropriate teaching strategies and techniques to cater to students' diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the English language curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
- Establish and maintain open communication with students, parents, and school staff.
- Collaborate with the children to ensure full engagement and success.
