Learning Support Assistant

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment. You will work closely with teachers to assist in planning and delivering individual learning plans, offering one-to-one support, and ensuring students thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
- Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Promote independence and confidence in learning
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have a passion for working with children and young people
- Be patient, empathetic, and encouraging
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be adaptable and able to work flexibly in a dynamic school setting
- Experience working with SEND students is desirable, but not essential
